Our project team used the program AnyLogic specialized for constructing dynamic models. Among the stock example models available was included a dynamic model of the spread of the spanish flu. Due to the similarity in behaviors of the sickness with the relatively new CoViD-19, the team used the stock model to learn about its variables and controls. The model was used to learn the basics of working with AnyLogic and setting up the very rough of the desired result model. The first model did not allow the team to understand the entirety of how the program functions. It provided the team with a more realistic understanding of what could be done to make the final model work with real world data and provide reasonable feedback and prognosis.
