The third AnyLogic model the team used was a modified version of the first model. The team added special controls that helped understand the extremes of the virus spread, virus modeling and modeling results. The model provided the team with an understanding on how the model can be altered to show a more accurate projection of a pandemic such as the Coronavirus. The resulting model was still not intended to give accurate results and work with real world data. In the meantime, the team started receiving recommendations, insights and guidance on the modeling of pandemics from a specialist in epidemiology and modeling.
